Maintenance Checks on Test

On the Practical Test, a candidate will be asked two vehicle safety check questions from an official list.  These are basic safety checks that a driver should carry out to ensure the vehicle is safe for use. Although some checks may involve the candidate opening the bonnet to identify where and how fluid levels would be checked, they will not be asked to touch a hot engine or physically check fluid levels.  When closing the bonnet afterwards be sure to close it fully though do not slam it shut.

REMEMBER THAT THE ENGINE COULD BE HOT, SO NO NEED TO TOUCH – JUST POINT!!
